Student Engagement & Leadership Center

The Student Engagement & Leadership Center (SELC) at the University of Texas at El Paso partnered with Paradigm Shift to create a unified brand identity that captures the energy, diversity, and culture of student life on campus. The goal was to develop a system that could cohesively represent multiple sub-departments while maintaining flexibility for future growth.


Drawing inspiration from UTEP’s distinctive architecture and cultural heritage, our team designed a visual system centered around mandala-inspired motifs—a pattern deeply rooted in the university’s design language and campus environment. These geometric symbols serve as a dynamic framework, bringing cohesion to SELC’s print and digital materials while representing connection, community, and engagement.


The brand guide includes comprehensive logo variations, a vibrant color system, typography hierarchy, and visual applications across digital and print event collateral. This scalable design system ensures consistency across all programming while giving each sub-department its own distinctive voice within the larger SELC brand.
